Is sleepwear made in more modest styles, than they were in the old days?

why do more people today walk around their house or step out to get the paper in pajamas witbout a robe or bedjacket, unlike the old days? Personally I think as
long as your pajamas cover you, and are not see through or anything, then you shouldnt be afraid to walk around the house in front of your family in them
