Is sex really important in a relationship?

I think it is... its right up there for me. My boyfriend thinks I put too much emphasis on sex... I do a have a really high sex drive, and I want it to be less predictable and more spontaneous with him, but hes more of the same time same place (the bedroom) kind of guy... We have great chemistry and I can honestly say he IS the best Ive ever had... but I guess I just wish he was a little more... open. Like the type of guy that would take me any place any time... because he just couldnt wait. Hes not that guy, and I know if he ever was it would only be because I wanted it (not like it ever happens anyway). Is it wrong for me to put this much focus on it? It is really important to me because I DO have a highn sex drive, and sometimes his lack of spontaneity makes me feel as though he doesnt desire me as I do him. I need advice... Thanks
