because i think it is very much a big part of any relationship, well that's the type of relationship i was used to, so me and my girl have been together for 3 yrs and we havent had sex for about close to 5months now and i iasked her what the problem was and she said we've been arguing too much, so now we argue even more because we still aren't having sex....so now im feeling like my self esteem dropped a lil, i feel she's not attracted to me anymore, even though she gets mad when i tell her that's how im feelin.....would i be wrong for leaving in this situation, i mean i do love her with all my heart but i can't be in a relationship where i feel unwanted, because i have so much love to give but i dont wanna feel as though im wasting it....thanx in advance for all adult/positive answers!!!!!

Sex is often more important in the beginning of a relationship. Later on, it varies from couple to couple. My partner and I have been together almost ten years. Due to various health issues, we almost never have sex anymore. It's not ideal, but our love for each other is strong enough that it's not going to tear us apart. A relationship that is only based on sex won't endure. One that is mostly based on love can endure anything.

love is not sex

love is emotional and without that all the sex in the world will not make a relationship work

When sex becomes a big priority in a relationship, then it is time to break it off. Sex isn't love, it's lust. If you really love her, then you will stay with her.

Well sex is a way to show your compassion and love towards your partner. Maybe let things cool down for a little longer and she may be up for it. If that doesn't work out maybe the connection isn't there anymore.

Instead of fighting with her over not having sex, why don't you suggest to her that you both work on whatever it is/was that caused the two of you to argue in the first place. Pressuring her to be intimate isn't going to solve a thing. The more you push her the more she resist you. Sometimes you have to find a new approach.
