Is Sanyo a good brand of television?

I need to buy a new TV after our plasma broke last month. I have heard that the plasma TV's aren't good as there are many problems so to look at LCD. I don't want to spend a lot of money and so i went to costco and saw a Sanyo LCD for the same price as a LG plasma. Is Sanyo a good quality brand or is it you get what you pay for?
