I don't want to generalize, but I've been constantly reading throughout the Internet that the rock scene is not what it used to be, and it is being replaced by other music genres in mainstream. I've been to music stores like HMV a few times and when I browse music CDs I see more pop and rap than rock . So that makes me wonder.
It's not that I really care about mainstream music anymore, but since it is in mainstream where the money is, then maybe future rock bands will be in peril, at least in the professional league. I'm not being paranoid, I'm just reflecting upon what is being said in music videos and even in questions here.
So what do you think about this? Any opinion matters, but please restrain from foul language overdrive (i.e. don't swear too much)!
