Is replacing the in-tank fuel pump on my Dodge too big of a d.i.y. job?

Have a 98 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup and was quoted cost of necessary fuel pump replacement. It's the one in the fuel tank. Considering my options before I sink a large junk of cash into a job that may be able to do with some blood, sweat, and tears.
 
how much experience do you have how handy are you with tools? it's not hard nore is it simple.

i will tell u how to do this step by step if you feel you have the ability to do so.
 
it ain't that bad but start off with very low fuel in the tank,the lighter the tank the easier it is to move around .
 
it depends on how well you fallow directions, but it cannot be that difficult.
