I live with 2 other roommates, and while we submit the payments on time, one roommate has had her checks bounce several times. Do her bounced check payments count as late rent and does it affect my credit score?
It will depend on if you are all on ONE lease or individual leases. If you are concerned, and are on one lease jointly, I would contact the Landlord or Management Company to ensure your personal credit is not in jeopardy. Good Luck (and maybe have the 'bouncer' pay you and you cover the share she keeps bouncing..or get a new roomie even??)
