no its not. i actually attended PCA in 2005.. loved it so much i went till i couldnt go anymore (18 is the oldest)
it may not be a traditional camp with sports and stuff. but if you are one who enjoys music then there is no better camp to be. i met all these kids that i still talk to (actually saw one of them yesterday, drove 4 hours) everyone there connects becuase everyone there loves music. the way the camp works is you go , they pair you up with your band at a seminar and put u with a "producer". the producers arnt real producer(well some of them may be) they are just cool poeple who were in bands that released cds and have experience to offer. . so your practicing with your band for a good 6 ish hours a day. inbetween practice sessions theres meals . seminars that teach you about the music bizz or just chill time to go into the field and play guitar or relax.. within 4 days of begining the week long session your band starts recording an original song that they made up. the recording is ligit and professional. the equipment is pretty cool to look at and comes out sweet when they give u your cd at the end. you also get to record a music video where professional camera men will set up, play ur song . and then your band does whatever. takes a couple takes but comes out cool. . a live band comes to play *normally they are pretty famous.. you could go to their site and see for yourself. * and your band gets to play 2 concerts.. over all
if you like playing music.. this is the place for you.. hope this helped
