is pontiac really gone?

GM is aparently back in business not under the name of the gov. is pontiac really gone though? i mean pontiac is a huge car make and they just threw it under the bus? i havent heard anymore about it so im hoping it just sorta a last ditch effort that they can undo. whats goin on? also what about saturn cause i know GM ditched them too
