besides getting a routine oil change, I'm really needing to get the brakes of my car looked at. I would just go to my dealer, but they're in Nashville and my car is with me in L.A. so that's not an option. there are a lot of Pep Boys locations nearby and that would be the most convenient place for me to go, but are they good to deal with? it seems like any and every business is out to screw people out of their money and do unnecessary work to their cars... and I would be an easy target because I am pretty dim on the inner workings of automobiles. what should I do? in short, the problem with my brakes is not that they're working poorly, they're just getting very noisy. I really need to have them looked at.
