The past few months I've been getting my blood drawn while here at school so my doctor back home can keep an eye on my blood counts. They've been pretty low, but they are getting better. I've had my blood drawn between 7-10 times over a little more than three months. A couple weeks ago I had my blood drawn from my left arm and two nights ago I started to get a huge pain in my arm from where the blood was taken. It was a stinging pain and after 15 minutes or so it went away. Today I feel another kind of pain in the same spot. The feeling goes all the way down my arm. It kind of feels like my arm is falling asleep, but it hasn't reached the tingly feeling. It's a very weird feeling. It also feels a bit weak. My other arm has been getting random pains when the end of my sleeve rubs against where the blood was taken. It almost feels like I'm getting poked with an invisible needle. I have also found some slight marks where the tourniquet was put on my arm. The doctors here at my school leave it on longer than my doctors back home. I'm worried that I either have nerve damage from the needles going into my arms so many times or from the tourniquet being left on for too long. Can anyone give me some advice, besides going to see a doctor? I plan to talk to my doctor back home about this. I don't trust the doctors here, so until I can speak with my doctor from back home I would very much like some peace of mind about all this. Thank you in advance!
