Is one 15" type R subwoofer enough for a 2007 chevy Tahoe?

you might get better results with getting a pair of 10's or 12's. you have too realize that the sub hits, its going to cause the cone to vibrate. since there is so much surface area the cone is going to vibrate longer than one with a smaller surface area. before the cone finishes vibrating the sub is going to hit again, thats when you start to get distortion.

It depends what you really are looking for and also what kind of amp you are running and what ohms the sub is broke down. I'd say yes it is enough but it won't be more then likely like the subs you here a block or two away but it would be enough to give you bass in you're chest felling like I said if you have it wired right and a good amp and battery to push it. And also you don't need a 15 you can run two 12's and get better sound quality and bass then a 15 15's do hit better lows then 12's that's all though. 15's more for just show if you ran two p3's on a t1000.1bd amp you would be more pleased then a type r 15. hope this helps.

Depends what is "enough" for you.

If you don't like a ton of bass one 15" is great.. They hit lows better than two 12"s. Plus type r's are good subs..with the right amp.
