Is Olympus sp-565uz good camera? (Sports shots, portraits....)?

My fiancee is graduating from college so I want a good camera to take pictures of her walking and up on stage. I know this camera has a really good zoom. We are also going to be going to the beach really soon on our honeymoon and would like to be able to take pictures of the beach the waves and the sky and what not just about anything. Also want it to be able to take pictures at softball. She and I play on a CO-ED softball league and I would like to take pictures of people batting. I know there is a 13fps capture of pictures in it so it can get every movement when a person is swinging but do they come out clear? i can't find any action photos online. Or is there another camera around $300 people can recommend? Thanks
