is old fizzy apple cider bad, or possibly alcoholic a little?

I've had a jug of organic, unpasteurized apple cider in the fridge since like December, and just opened it today. It tastes fine, but it's gone real fizzy, because it's been fermenting I guess.
I want to know if it's safe to drink (I'm gonna drink it anyway, regardless, it's so good), also if apple cider left to sit by itself for a couple months will get very much alcohol if I didn't do anything to it.
