IS NOW A GOOD TIME TO BUY CHRYSLER?

Actually Chrysler made some very good cars. The Town and Country van set the standard for mini vans today. The Chrysler 300 was Motor Trend's car of the year a few years ago. The Dodge Ram made some much needed body style improvements and is still the longest lasting truck on the market, though ford and chevy still make great trucks, too. Jeep will always be the standard for fun offroad vehicles. Throw in the lifetime powertrain warranty on almost all of their vehicles, you can still get a dependable car at a very reasonable price despite the bankruptcy situation.

I do think you can get great deal on a Chrysler Dodge or Jeep. There are big rebates on most of their vehicles and Chrysler needs to move some units fast. That's not to say they will take any offer, but I'm sure it's dealers will be more willing to put more money in your trade and sell under invoice without hesitation. If you are going to make a move, you might want to move now. Who knows what's going to happen with the new merger.

No, it is never a good time to buy a Chrysler...they are one of the worst companies out there, which is why they are in such financial disarray. Buy Ford, Toyota, Honda, or Subaru.

If I heard correctly, they are dumping a bunch of their dealerships, and leaving them stranded with vehicles.

You probably could get a good deal, but I'm not sure what the deal would be with warranty/repairs/etc.

Jennifer,

Now is Better then ever. I don't think Chrysler makes great cars, but if you were interested in buying one before they went bankrupt there has never been a better time to buy. If you just started considering watch out and make sure you seek other options so you can make an informed decision. Also make sure there is another chrysler dealership around that can service your vehicle if it becomes necessary.

No reason not to buy if you can get a great deal.

They will accept most reasonable offers.
It isn't like you can go and get a $25K car for $10K or anything close to that.
