is my transfer case chain stretched on my 1998 jeep grand cherokee laredo quadra-trac?

when under power or turning sharply in 4wd my jeep makes a continuous popping sound. in 2wd there is no noise. anybody had this before? is it the chain?
 
I agree sounds like u have u joints coming lose either in the front driveshaft or the outer axle on the wheel u are turning towawards
 
The quadra trac is installed on Jeeps with continuous four wheel drive and cannot be disengaged to two week drive.
I would suggest that the front U-joints many be failing and unloaded they make little to no noise.
Other possibility are the front U- joints on the drive shaft which again are unloaded in two wheel drive.
