I just checked it yesterday my ammonia is at 0 and my test kit says that my nitrite is also at 0 but I'm not sure if thats correct. My nitrite test kit uses drops and after I put it in the sample of water and wait 5 minutes, I look onto the colour chart, but if I leave the sample for longer the colour seems to fade and I can't be sure if the nitrites are at 0. Assuming they are at 0, my tank is ready after I do a big water change, yes? If this matters, my nitrates are at about 80-100 ppm but that will go down once I change the water right? Thanks.
