I am taking a Video editing class where we will be using a firewire to connect to Mac computers and editing video footage with Final Cut Pro 7. I am completely new to the video world, so I barely know what a firewire is. I have a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD201 camcorder. It uses the little DVDs (as opposed to DV tapes like the camcorders my school is offering to loan out). My question is do I need to borrow a camcorder from school? Or will my Handycam connect to the Mac via a firewire to edit my footage on Final Cut Pro 7?
