Well I like many others came into possession of one of the WM8505 mini-notebooks running windows CE... which didnt work very well.. youtube was a joke, browsing was slow.... etc etc
I followed the steps for installing android on the netbook... annnnnnnd black screen. so, i tried the alternate method of manually shutting down the netbook THEN ejecting the SD card THEN starting the computer. STILL black screen... no dice...
So, ive tried this process 20 or so times to no avail. Now, Im to the point where i dont even get the netbook to respond and try to boot from the SD card when I turn it on. I turn it on, the power light illuminates, the backlight illuminates the screen (although still black) and..... nothing. no "android update will begin in...." no "loading image" no nothing.. can ANYONE help me bring my new-to-me netbook back to life?? please??? Im at a total loss..
(btw, i was using a 2 GB SD card, tried it in FAT, and FAT 32, tried 3 different Android download links for the "script" file, 1.5.6, 1.5.5, and 1.6.1 at this point, having winCE back would at least allow me to be mobile again.. thanks in advance..
