I got hit in my ribs on the left side of my chest almost a month ago. At first it was not too painful but it seemed to get worse each day. It got to the point that it started to effect my breathing, very painful to shift my body getting in and out of bed, and it felt like it effected my heart some of the time. Now the pain went from the beginning of my lower rib all the way around to my spine. The is no bruising on the area but the rib just doesn't feel right when I rub it and there feels like there is more of a gap between the rib that hurts and the rest of them.I don't have insurance, so I haven't even gotten checked up yet. I don't know whether I have a hairline fracture, or bruised rib.
Is my rib fractured or bruised?
