No One Cares
A child rummages through the garbage
Hungry.
Not one person cares
or realizes
That an abandoned person just died
and nobody cried.
An old woman just collapsed on the street
Dirty
Forgotten
Unloved
I look at myself in the mirror
having seen so much death
and see that my own soul has
Died.
We have to write a poem about the homeless for school and I wanted to see what you think!
