My '98 Mustang was in an accident a few months ago, and the hood was replaced. I told the shop when they put the hood back, to paint the underside and leave the black insulation off because it looks better. (I enter it in shows) Now I am worried that there may be blistering or peeling from the heat of the engine. Has anyone run their car with no underhood insulation for a long time?
