her insanity is difficult to explain to people who don't know her. but basically, she represses things ALOT really easily, and its not a matter of her memory but rather her preference to not remember things that happened, and to remember things that didn't happen. i used to think she was a big liar, but it just happens all the time.
she laughs so much at people who are different from her. she's intolerant as well. like the other day, we were in the car and we heard a car playing really loud music, and she said "ok, he's either black or hispanic". which makes me so mad because i'm extremley liberal in regard to equality, and thus denounce those who profile/stereotype. but i cant voice any of these things about her, because she talks SO MUCH and never, ever listens.
anytime i say anything, she assumes its an attack on her. if she says "how was school today?" and i say "it was fine". she'd go off saying something along the lines of "ok! jeez it was just a question calm down, life isn't that bad!" and this isn't an exaggeration at all.
in the morning before i wake up, she leaves for work and leaves all her trash everywhere on the countertops and leaves all the cupboards and drawers open, even if she didnt use them.

sorry this was long. but, does she have some sort of mental illness? and, would it be hereditary?
omg you might be right, because my mom is so silent about her childhood. my dad thinks something happened.
