I took my car in to get the oil pan cleaned out and a new oil pump put in, my dad could have done it, but he doesn't have the time these days. Anyways, after this the mechanic told me he couldn't engage the clutch and that the "slave clutch cylinder" would need to be replaced; I was hesitant and to his credit he replaced it at only parts charge (if it really needed replacing). But now, he didn't call for 4 days, so I called and he said it's ready, BUT WAIT, he can't engage the clutch again and the clutch itself probably needs to be replaced. It sounds really fishy to me guys and I'm a college student so I don't have a lot of money for this stuff; could you guys help me out? I've never seen a clutch just go out after working fine; and I didn't drive it hard, actually towed the car up there because oil pump needed to be replaced. It's a 1998 Dodge Dakota, 3.9L V6. Thanks!
