The engine started to rattle or tick or clunk, whatever the noise it is steady and i can only hear it below 1000rpms. It sounds like its coming from around the first cylinder or underneath it. The thing is that sometimes it doesnt make the noise at all on the way to work or back. It doesnt matter if its hot or cold out or if the engine is warm or cold the noise doenst always exist. But the past few days the noise hasnt stopped so im trying to figure out if im going to need to have the engine taken apart because i cant afford expensive fixes now.
Is my Jeep engine clunking or rattling a bad valve or gunk build up?
