Is my internet slow (Cricket broadband modem)?

I have Cricket broadband.

My download speed is usually 3.45 kbps. It usually takes about an hour and a half to download a 9~ megabyte file, such as a 4-5-minute song. It takes 10-12 hours to load a 20 minute video (360p) on youtube (on good days, it only takes 5 hours).

Is that normal? Can I speed up my internet (I always only have 1-2 windows open, only 1 thing at a time running)?

Do other people have faster internet? And could you tell me what service provider you use? :3
