just what type of metal is in the earring you have had in there? if it is not surgical steel or some level of actual solid gold(the higher the karat grade is,the better),you could be actually reacting to just the metal that it was created out of. my mom ended up with this same problem when she had her ears pierced,a very high sensitivity to the metal, mostly nickel silver that is in alot of earrings. by the way, just what IS an industrial piercing? i have never actually heard of that before but it does sound like it is somewhere in your ear?
sometimes, what you are experiencing is either an infection because of some level of bacteria if it is not kept really really clean at all times or dabbing it with alcohol several times a day,OR this is your bodies way of just trying to expell the metal, as in you are having an allergic reaction to it,you know what i mean?
if you are not using an earring that is high grade solid gold or surgical steel,i would simply try using one or the other for about a month til everything calms down and just see how it reacts with your individual body chemistry. hopefully this will actually work,if not,i would see your primary doc and find out if you just do have some level of infection that may require anti Bs to get rid of. you will just have to wait and see how it goes. but if at anytinme this just really starts to get ugly or you are getting any fevers, see your doc right away. good luck and i hope things get better for you soon. please keep me posted.
