When i play games both using bootcamp and osx...i sometimes recieve choppy pictures with horizontal lines ...they're not the colored lines that people have been having problems with, but its just that the picture gets choppy during times when high graphical performane is needed (cutscenes, moving side to side really fast during an fps game, etc.) . I phoned apple and said its most likely not a hardware problem because i only get this when playing games. They also said its ok for me to download drivers form nvidia's website...even though i've heard that the 8800 GS video card in the imac is really a 8800MGTS that was rebranded. The real 8800 GS has 384 mb of vram and this thing has 512.. yea...so any suggestions...i'm stilll under apple care...anyone have a similar experience? I have a 3.06 Ghz dual core, 4gb ram, Nvidia Geforce 8800 Gs ...24" imac.
