is my HTC hero Bricked?(Sprint)?

so i was setting my widgets after a hard restart and then the phone shut off and did not turn on i plugged it in and no Amber LED. so i took out the battery for a night. the next day i plugged it in again and the LED came back on i tried to power it on but the LED turns off and nothing on the screen. HELP? is my screen fried or what?
