Hi, please no rude remarks. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
So over the past few months, I've been having various paranormal experiences in my home. My family built this home, we're the only people to ever live in it, and it's only 8 years old. I have had suspicions that our home was built on an ancient burial ground or something, I doubt it though. Something I found that creeped me out, and that occured right around the same time my experiences started, was that I was with my friends in the woods behind my house one day and I noticed that right near the entrance of our woods was a cement cross-shaped grave. I'm not saying it was a grave, though, but it was at the foot of a slim tree and I had never seen it before in my life, almost as though someone came along that night and put it there. Curious, we dug it up to find nothing buried beneath it. Guessing it was just a religious thing.
One of the first experience I had took place in my living room. I was playing my trumpet, my body facing the rest of the house. Nobody was even on the same floor as me. As I was about to play, I felt someone playing with my hair. Expecting it to be my sister, I turned around. Nobody was there. Not even in the room.
One of the second incidents took place in the same room. I was sitting right here at my computer desk chewing gum. The wrapper was crumpled up in a ball right in front of me sitting on the desk. I was doing my thing on the computer when I saw the wrapper out of the corner of my eye move a little bit. I looked down at it, and it had been perfectly folded, as if it had been taken right out of the pack. Again, nobody was in the room with me, and it happened within the blink of an eye.
I've had several visions out of the corner of my eye, but I have never really seen a full apparition. I was sitting down one day when I saw something coming down the stairs. I looked and nobody was there. I have also seen cat- or dog-like silhouettes running around my bed at night, as well. I do not have any pets.
When I try to go to sleep at night, I constantly have this paranoid feeling that someone is standing by my bed, watching me. This morning, in fact, I was laying in bed and felt someone putting pressure on my back, sort of like a finger tip going in circles. I turned over and it stopped.
We have a number of antiques in our home, many of which are in my room and on the upper floor. Our guest room has a bureau that my grandmother bought us from an antique shop, and I can't stand being in that room because I feel like someone's in there with me, watching me. It's the scariest feeling.
One of the most recent experiences was this past Wednesday. My mom was putting away laundry upstairs when she noticed that my great uncle's hat, one that he had left here when he came to visit, was in her room. Her room is next door to the guest bedroom, (the one with the antique bureau) where he had originally left it. She asked everyone in our household if they'd moved it, and everyone of us denied.
What are your thoughts? I am pretty sure that my house is haunted. At least not with harmful ghosts. Thank you.
