Hi, I have 1986 Ford Ranger 4wd with a 2.9L. When I run it for awhile and get out of the truck, I notice that the exhaust smells similar to that of a quad, and it smells oily... the exhaust itself seems fine, but I am just trying to get the most power and fuel efficiency I can squeeze out of the truck.
If it is running rich, how do I lean it out?

Its not carbed, its efi. And the vehicle has stayed in the family since it was brand new, so I know no one took out the converter
