I have a fish tank and a turtle tank. In my fish tank I used to have two gourami fish, but the male kept harassing the smaller fish, so we moved the male and the female to the turtle tank, which has two fully grown red-eared sliders. They have been together in a sixty gallon tank for the last several months with no problems (the gouramis are too big for them to catch and eat). Two days ago the female got stuck inbetween some rocks, and one of the turtles bit off all of her back fin and a small bit of her back part where the fin attaches. We moved her back to the fish tank (same temp, same pH and everything), but she has spent the last two days hiding in one of the rock formations. She moves her fins quite a bit, and i have seen her twice leave her hiding spot, but she won't eat, just thrashes at the top of the water before hiding again. I thought she was in shock at first, but I'm getting very worried for her. Could she still be in shock, or do you think she's dying? I'm very worried for her.
