Is my dog sick, he's just laying around?

My dog is just laying around, it is warm outside so that might be it. He went for a walk earlier and he was fine but before we left he didn't eat anything and when we came back he still wouldn't eat. His nose is dry and he is 5 years old, is there something wrong with him?
He is moving around more now and has started to eat and drink a lot more so I think he is okay now.
 
It's normal for animals to do acts similar to how your dog react to the weather. There's nothing to be scared about except of course when it get really serious and consistent.
