Okay, so I've had my dog for about three years now (I found him! <3) and we are very in tune with one another. I can tell when something's wrong with him, as can he with me. He is a border collie mixed with a parsons Russell terrier. Lately, he's been acting strange around me. Like simply sleeping on my bed with me all night. He always sleeps on his dog bed and when if I ever try to get him to lay on the bed with me he'll reluctantly get up there but will soon jump off if I roll over or anything of that sort. Also, he never really gets up on the couch with me unless I call him over to get on the couch with me. Lately he'll come and sit in front of me and if I do let him up, he lays as close as possible to me, and if I move he tries to get closer. Normally, if I let him on the couch he will sit farther away so not to get hot. He is protective of me in general I would say that he definitely thinks of me as alpha, and has never been disobedient, so I don't think it's a dominance issue. Could he being trying to warn me about an illness I could be having or something like that? I've read that dogs can tell. Btw, he has brown eyebrows and I've read that dog's with that were said to be able to see bad things happening 3 days in advance, but that's just a wise tale.
please answer!
Also, about my dog being ill, my mom is with him all day while I'm at school and she says he asks totally normal so that's why I wasn't too worried about him being ill sense he only starts acting like that when I come around. He just stared yesterday.
