I've been hospitalized for almost a week for severe stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting. Today, the Dr. said i have gastritis because I'm fat. He's sending me home tomorrow with some antacid medicine and he said my pain will go away when I lose weight. I had a baby 6 months ago so i do need to lose about 20 pounds, but i never knew it could cause stomach pains. Also, i haven't been able to eat since the 4th of December without throwing up. I can't even drink. I'm worried that when i leave the hospital, my pain is going to be unbearable again or I'm going to get dehydrated because i can't eat or drink. What should I do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Is my doctor telling the truth? Weird situation... please help?
