I was quiet while doing a workout so she joked that I was trying to hit her with the weight, as I twisted up into a stand, and I laughed. She watched me with a pleased smile and her friend walked directly by us. As her friend was passing, she said "she's going to hit you" seemingly thinking I would laugh again, but her friend didn't even look around, smile or say anything. She just kept walking and my trainer just watched her as she passed and looked back around at me. It felt like she'd been trying to make me laugh again. It was a little awkward.
Again, yesterday, her friend came up to use the machine next to us and when I finished a set, my trainer stepped over and slapped her a** with her clipboard, turning to look at me. I had looked away, pretending I didn't notice, and when I looked at her, she said "have you met Megan?" I just shook my head no, because the girl didn't turn to look or say hi.
I didn't know if she wanted her friend to like me/know me but I felt like if that were the case, her friend was indicating she didn't approve.
