So I wanted to drift away from the cliche horror stories about killers or ghosts and stuff. My story is about an old man who once fought in a war. And he hears something downstairs and smells something that triggers the memory of war. Then he goes downstairs and experiences scary things that happen in war, but its all in his head. Then I'll kill him off or something haha. I'm adding a lot of suspense techniques and descriptions too so.
Is it interesting? Scary enough? Your thoughts? Any ideas I can add in?
