it can't be the clutch. if it was the clutch then you couldn't put it in first when it is running. so it's either something in the transmission or something with one of the axles.

it would also be helpful if you could tells us wether or not you can shift in other gears. does it do the same thing. if you can shit it into 2 or reverse and it works then its the transmission.
 
let out the clutch.? when i put it in gear and let out the clutch the car doesn't do anything it doesn't move stall or anything and the shifter is up in first gear. it also sounds a little weird under the driver side seat. is it my transmission or my clutch or my i don't know anything, please help
