On Friday, the battery light came on in my car. Not knowing a whole lot about cars, I thought it was my battery getting low. People then said it was my alternator, my alternator then turned out to be faulty. I bought an alternator from a parts store and had it put in for me on Sunday afternoon.
It is now Tuesday morning and my battery light is back on, after not being on since my alternator was replaced. The funny thing is, it's not on permanently, it only comes on when my car is stopped or when I press the gas as well as when the car is moving from when it was stopped.
I have a Ford Taurus if that helps
Brian-Hopefully it is the battery terminals...I had one terminal kind of rusty a while back, I'll have my battery tested and get new terminals for the battery just in case. In case I do have a bad battery, thankfully it's still under a warranty.
Also, when I pressed on the gas and the battery light went on, the lights dimmed as well and went back to normal when I let go of the gas.
