I have a 2000 Cadillac Deville that is overall in good condition appearance wise but it was over heating so I took it to a mechanic and he told me I need to replace my head gaskets and it will be 2500 to do the job. I got a second opinion and the guy said it might not be the head gasket but the valves. Would it be worth getting the car fixed or buying something else?
They did a block check on it and I watched them do it and the liquid turned green. I was told first it was the radiator so I replaced that and come to find out it wasn't the problem.
It doesn't over heat as bad when driving around 45 miles an hour either only if it idles for about 10 minutes or its taken on the freeway it completely over heats.
