I have a baby red-eared slider turtle, (appears to be 1-2 inches long) he's been very lazy. I have him in a 5 gallon fish tank filled about halfway with water heated to the mid 70s (automatic tropical fish tank heater) with a rock in the middle for basking, however I do not have a way to heat the air in the tank and I am unsure how/what to feed him. I've been giving him pellets but he doesn't swim vey often. I plan to get a heating lamp and am aware he will need a bigger tank as he grows, but I am worried he won't last long enough for me to fix the tank up.
