Is my apartment haunted?

I moved into my apartment about 3 years ago so I can be closer to the college I'm going to right now, but as soon as I moved in strange things have been happening. When I've come back to my apartment after dark I have found the lights in the kitchen or in the living room on when I was sure were off when I left. I would hear doors slamming shut from inside the apartment when I'm home. The front door has been found either ajar (with the bar lock in the door) or wide open and after calling the police and my mom and step dad (who have a key) have found no signs that the door has been tampered with. One night after watching a dvd I turned off the tv, the player, and the Christmas tree lights (it was near Christmas) but when I woke up the next morning the TV was still off and the tree lights were also off only the player was playing. My cat would go into these weird trances when he's on the couch or on a chair almost like he sees someone walking across the floor or hears something I can't hear. One night in the middle of the night I felt this strange pressure on my shoulder and suddenly felt like I was being pulled out of the bed but when I shrugged my shoulder though it stopped. Another night I had a headache so I went to bed early around 9 suddenly as soon as I lead down I felt like I was being watched then I sat up when I did I thought I saw 2 people who looked like they were wearing Halloween masks were looking at me and when I shouted and jumped out of bed they took off ran to the front door and disappeared. Another time I was coming back from being with my boyfriend for the day a dress that I was sure was hanging in my closet before I left, I found it laying on my living room floor in a way that looked like someone tried it on. The most chilling event happened the other night it was in the middle of the night I dreamed that I saw three people being burned alive inside a planatation type house while someone was watching I was told by my Great-Great Grandmother (she died when I was 9 and was a Spirilist Medium) told me that I was one too but I was just inexperienced. What is going on and how can I stop it?
