We seem to have a global financial crisis we cannot easily get out of. We have global warming taking place (man-made or not) that is changing the environment in some pretty bad ways. We have overpoulation, and pollution, and resource scarcities. We have more and more countries gaining nuclear weapons.
It seems that the rich and powerful are showing more and more corruption, and greed. I don't trust a single government official, and the executives of major corporations seem to be grabbing what they can, screwing everyone around them.
Gun sales have increased 500% in the last 2 months.
Every major civilization has had its rise and fall. Dark ages come and go.
I am not a doomsday conspiracy theorist, but I must wonder if we are looking at the decline of modern civilization.
