I've been thinking about sending in some polaroids for a while now, but I've been putting off because well... I don't know. It's not that I don't think I meet the requirements, I'm around 5'9, which I'm pretty sure is about the right height. I'm aware lots of models start in their mid-teens, where I am right now, so age isn't a problem, but I'm just not sure if it's a lifestyle that's really worth having. On one hand, you get to travel if you're successful enough, make some money, take lots of pictures, and enjoy being glam-med up. But on the other hand, I know there is a lot of pressure in the industry, not to mention that there's definitely an age limit and you're chewed up and spit back out into the world pretty fast, no matter how successful you are in the beginning. If I were to do it though, and it went so far as to actually work out... would that help me later in life, when I want to become say, a lawyer (which is just an example) or something. Would people take me seriously? :\ When you're traveling around the world, it's hard to keep up with your studies anyway.
Of course, sending in photos to an agency won't guarantee that I'll get signed, and even then, if I'll book any jobs at all, but you have to start somewhere, right? I just don't know if I even want to *start*.
