I did 18 weeks OSUT Fort Knox, Kentucky
Week 13 we were still there and had plenty more comin
I believe that if you compare that bootcamp to Marine Boot Camp
You will see that the ARMY is nowhere near as weak as people think we are. And I was told that this is the third hardest Boot camp in the Army.
Believe me those extra weeks count

I'm not trying to make fun of you, but you do realize that OSUT is your MOS school and boot camp. Marines go through Boot Camp THEN go on to ITB for combat and basic infantry training, and cavalry scout equivalent--like LAR follows on for even longer.

You're comparing one small fraction to your entire initial training. Ask someone from LAR and you'll notice that you are learning many of the same things. As for difficulty though....I'm sorry but you're incorrect.

You should have looked this up before making yourself look silly.

Who said USMC boot was harder than Infantry training or other specialized schools? Ignore the boots, they don't know what they're talking about.

It seems like that would be comparing apples to oranges, since the Marine Corp would send the recruit to have additional training based on the MOS they choose.

Still, having served in a cavalry troop in the army at one time as a commo specialist, I do have to respect their skills. I know the scout troop I was part of beat a unit of army rangers in training exercises on more than one occasion.

Okay, you're comparing apples to bananas. There's no way you can compare a Boot camp to an AIT course. I see where you were going with this and I agree, however, you have to keep this tucked away in a itty bitty spot in the back of your brain that we, Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard are all working together in one cause.
