is marine boot camp fun at all or is it completely serious for 12 weeks straight?

Sure it can be fun. IT will be real tough, but you will have fun. You will make life long friends. You will go all these tough activities , but if you make it fun, it will be fun.
Come on!!! you will be repelling , running, jumping, etc. learn fighting. Its an adventure. There will be times where it is straight seriousness, because come on, your training to fight war! but you will have fun.

i know that boot is not supposed to be fun but are there times when it is enjoyable to be in the marines. i hear people say that basic training at ft. benning is actually really fun in the army. (don't say because the army is not as good or as professional as marines or any bs like that) but you can actually enjoy the training. my friend is in the army and he enjoys it (currently in iraq). but i was wondering if the marines is "fun" or "enjoyable" at time. can you actually have a good time while in the marines. i ask this because i heard from one marine that you actually will hate being in the marines some days and that you will want to get out but when you do get out you want back in. this confused me so i was was just wondering if you guys could shed some light on what life is like as a marine.
