Is lost planet any good?

i got it last week. definitely fun. the singleplayer levels are pretty long. MP is fun as hell. sort of has a halo 2-esque feel to it with all the customizations you can do to your match. the MP maps are huge and look incredible too. dont bother with the collector's edition. the extra content is all stuff you've seen on the web already. it also comes with an MP map, but it will be available for free in the summer.

def worth picking up. the graphics are great (prob the best in-game explosions on the 360 so far), the levels are great, the mechs are a cool addition and it's fun picking up the huge mech weapons and running around with em blastin enemies. they also did a very good job with the controls, making it fun to fight the HUGE boss-type enemies. i've only played the multiplayer once so far (i'm still playing R6vegas online), but it's pretty sweet!

the explosions are supposed to be amazing, and the gameplay not bad. also, it's one of the few games where you'll get matched up with Japanese Xbox Live players

its good, i was on the last battle the day after i bought it though, its not a long game. 8-10 hours max. Im still battling green eye but havent put much effort into it since im at the end and annoyed

the green eye is the last battle? the last time i played i got to him and beat him about 80-90% before i died (i'm guessing the spots on his sides and head are all you have to destroy), and i haven't tried him again yet (finished my season in madden over the weekend, and played some R6Vegas). that seems pretty early to end the game there though, unless he ends up running away or something and you fight him again a third time

There are a total of 11 missions, so if you are fighting Green Eye then you are only on like mission 6 or 7 and still have a lot of game to go (unless he comes back at the end).

Graphics are pretty awesome, mechs are really cool and add an extra dynamic to the game and mulitplayer is very entertaining. I've put in about 10 hours of game play so far and have another 4 missions to go and the guy I bought it from at EB said it was around a total of 15 hours of straight through game play, total of 20+ with retrying levels after dying

ok good, i didn't think it would end THAT soon. yeah i think i'm on mission 6, but i don't remember. it's just after you get your dad's mech (can you use the chainsaw arm-thing on it that they show it having in the beginning? i want to mow some dudes down if i can )

yeah the cutscenes, dialogue, and story are pretty weak, but the in-game stuff is great. i play games for in-game graphics and gameplay, and don't care that much about cutscenes though, which is prob why i never got into the FF games

I knew going into it from the review on IGN that the story was but they raved about game play both solo and online, so I didnt hestitate to buy it.

I beat green eye without finding the chainsaw attachment and havent had a chance to reuse that same mech since (you'll see from the cut scene after you beat green eye), but I'll keep you up to date. GF's got to work tonight, so I'll be logging more hours tongiht
