Is Limphoma diagnosed through blood test or biopsy?

The doctor says that I might have Limphoma, cancer of the Limph Nodes. My neck and chin area limp nodes are swollen 1.3 cm as shown my an MRI. 3 blood tests have shown to be ABNORMAL, with very low white blood count and very high red blood count. The doc took more blood exams, but mentioned the possibility of getting a biopsy of one of the limph nodes on my back.

What do you think? Could this be cancer?

By doctor, I mean an Ocologist.
 
A combination of Biopsy , blood picture and Clinical exam . You should get referral to an Oncologist in case he is considering lymphoma or other cancers.
