Is learning to serve at a small local restaurant easier?

I just got a job at a restaurant with about 20 tables/booths altogether-- I'm kind of nervous about waitressing there (it's a Thai restaurant with a lot of menu items,) especially because I'm a nervous person and I worry about being totally overwhelmed. I feel some comfort, however, in the fact that it is usually somewhat slow and that it will be manageable because there are more carry-outs than anything.
