The morning after the media announced Katie's misfortune, so I'm watching the today show, and saw matt briefly pat Meredith's hand, as they were coming up for the camera, and it was the same sort of understanding pat you would do to someone, that just received bad news.(body language 101) Meredith had the look of simeone, that would not be comforted, while she drew her hand away.
